Seat is testing the new Leon (2012)

Seat is testing the new Leon (2012)

Wednesday July 21 2010 - Hans

We´ve seen this mule before, but this time it´s different. The last time we saw the mule there were German license plates on it. We were sure that they were thesting VAG´s new platform for the Golf. This time the mule wears Spanish license plates so we know for sure: this is the new SEAT Leon.

There isn't much to say about the new Leon yet. The Spanish engineers are testing with a mule based on the VW Golf VI so we can't get a glimpse of the design. Rumours tell us the new Leon will share much of it's design with the IBE Concept and of course the engines will be the same as the other VAG-models. One thing is for sure: the new Leon will be unveiled in 2012.

VW, Seat, Skoda and Audi are using the same platform. It is developed by VAG and used for the Golf 7, Leon 3, A3 3 and Octavia 3. It is a very normal way to think that when the car has Spanish license plates it's the Spanish version of the car: the Leon...

You got to remember aswell, that Seat have different steering and suspension settings to the others. Seats are designed to be a sportier drive so they tend to have stiffer suspensions than it's in-house rivals.

Uh guys, this IS a Seat Leon. It only looks like a Volkswagen because they don't wanna reveal the body design of the Seat. Under this body is a new Seat.

all of them are same cars!! I just dont understand that why they do stop to do new generation seat leon until now?? Why they hope to sell Golf a lot of?? I think that the VW general manager dont trust their style of Golf 7 !!!
